Book
Preface
The
Council Administrative Book, (called the �Blue Book because it was
originally issued in a blue binder), contains the Council Directory, the
Council Bylaws, and the Council administrative procedures. It is intended
to provide guidance to the leadership of the Florida Council of Chapters and
the chapters and clubs in the council. The philosophy, information
provided, procedures, and requirements reflect the thinking of the present
leadership of the council. The material must be reviewed periodically to
insure that it remains useful.
It is
important for every Council Board member, committee chair, chapter/club
president to have a current copy of the book. It was originally distributed
in hard copy to each of these members, and updates are distributed
periodically. With the virtually universal availability of the internet,
however, the Blue Book is now available, and kept up to date, on the Council
web site at www.moaafl.org, and hard copies
of the material are no longer distributed.
If you
are one of the leaders described above, you need to ensure that your copy of
the Blue Book is kept up to date and, most critically, that you emphasize to
your successor the importance of the Blue Book and the necessity of
maintaining its currency. If you are unable to download or print a copy
from the web site, please contact the web site coordinator or the council
secretary.
