The Palm Beach Area Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA), and its 200-plus members, have established a record of community service in Palm Beach County that is now well into its fifth decade.

The Boynton Beach-based organization's achievements include the donation of three patient room television sets to the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center; the annual cash donation to fund in-patient holiday festivities at the VA hospital; and the donation of recreational items such as books and games for in-patient use.

The chapter was founded in 1968, and incorporated in 1988.

Meetings:

Board of Directors meetings are held in February, April, June, August, October and December.

General membership meetings are held in January, March, May, September and November on dates of the month as announced by the board of directors.

Notice of the time and place is mailed to each member at their last recorded address at least15 days prior to each meeting.  The meeting held in November is the annual election meeting of officers and directors. The meeting agenda in January includes the installation of those elected in November of the previous year.
