This section is intended to help you in protecting your Personal Identity Information (PII).
Virtually
all nonprofits, including the MOAA, collect information about their members: name, address, date of
birth, home phone number, work phone number, e-mail address, information about
dues and contributions and committee memberships.
It's
perhaps an understatement to say that the collection of personal information
forms the very foundation of a nonprofit's success and effectiveness.
But what
many fail to realize is the importance of safeguarding such personal
information.
Your PII is probably all over the web but please remember that posting information online can
have unintended and harmful consequences that can be avoided.
You have the option to opt out of any mass emails, just let the sender know of your preference.
If you'd like more information on suggestions to protect your PII, please contact the Chapter's webmaster.
Your personal information is what you make it!!!
