of the professional association for Military Officers and their families (MOAA) is: dedicated to maintaining a strong national defense; fostering fraternal relations among active, former and retired officers of all uniformed services; and providing service to area veterans/families, and Lee County JROTC; while promoting the purposes & objectives of our national association.

Our, Five-Star Level of Excellence, Chapter and Foundation participate in and fund programs that serve veterans, high school and collegiate military programs independently and in cooperation with community and educational organizations.

We hold an annual summer luncheon, participate in the Sanibel 4th of July parade and sponsor their Veterans' Day program. We hold evening dinner-meetings with informative programs or entertainment, which promote fellowship among our members and spouses. They are held once a month November thru April at the Edison Restaurant & Event Center, 3583 McGregor Blvd., Fort Myers Tower Room (2nd floor, elevator option), Private Dining area


To promote the purposes and objectives of the MOAA, an independent, national, non-profit, politically nonpartisan veterans' organization dedicated to maintaining a strong national defense and preserve the earned entitlements of members of the uniformed services and their families and survivors.  In addition, the Chapter shall foster fraternal relations among retired, active and former officers of the uniformed services and their National Guard or reserve components, and serve the community and nation.

Originating on Sanibel in  1992, this Chapter is an incorporated 501(c)(19) not-for profit nonpartisan organization known as as Lee Coast Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America; with 100+ members from the Sanibel, Captiva, Fort Myers, South Fort Myers and Fort Myers Beach area. All chapter members hold membership in our 501(c)(3) Lee Coast Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America Foundation, Inc. which provides service to area Veterans, their families and Lee County JROTC. Our chapter is an affiliate of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) and chapter member of the Florida Council of Chapters (FCOC). MOAA and its affiliated chapters and councils are nonpartisan.”
